Behind the scenes at Boeing

The aviation giant is building part of its fleet in Seattle, where an exhibition centre welcomes visitors passionate about air transport.

While the head office of Boeing is located in Chicago, Illinois, one of the company's two largest factories is located about 40 kilometres north of Seattle. After a short introductory video, your tour will begin with a walk through some of the 3.7 kilometres of tunnels, under the gigantic factory. Once inside the largest building in the world, known as the Boeing Everett Factory, you will discover the assembly methods of the wings, tail and engines of the Boeing 747, 767, 777 and even 787, also known as the Dreamliner.
An interactive workshop provides you with the opportunity to play aeronautical engineers by “virtually” designing your own aircraft. The tour also includes exhibitions on commercial aviation and a detour through the immense panoramic terrace. From there, you will see the runways of the nearby Paine Field Airport, where Boeings constantly take off and land.
