There are three ‘Honey Garage' cafeterias in the Costa Rican capital, and the one in the Barrio Amón, in the heart of this trendy area between art galleries and lovely shops, sports the best location. The tiny space, open to the street, attracts passers-by with its small window displaying irresistible pastries: chocolate cake, cookies, wafers, etc.
The (very) rich coffees, hot or iced, are accompanied by caramel popcorn, ice cream, or sorbets. Among the other drinks displayed on the slate at the entrance are chocolates, teas, lemonades, and fruit juices. Except during Sunday closing, they can be tasted from the morning until 6:00p.m.amidst skateboards and brightly coloured graphic posters on the walls.
