Sofitel Abidjan Hotel Ivoire: luxury reborn

Now completely renovated, the Sofitel Abidjan Hotel Ivoire has regained its former glory and is fast establishing itself as one of the country's must-visit establishments.

As a symbol of the “Ivorian economic miracle” when it was opened in the affluent region of Abidjan in 1963, the Hotel Ivoire dances to the beat of national events. Long considered to be one of the most modern buildings on the entire African continent, a number of famous celebrities such as Michael Jackson, Barry White, Stevie Wonder and even Rihanna have graced its halls. Today, after a complete renovation, this 100-metre high skyscraper has regained its former star quality. Now managed by the Sofitel Group, the five-star hotel combines African culture, with many works by talented local artists, and French luxury, with its high-end spa. Its balcony rooms overlook the Plateau and the Ebrié Lagoon, but you can also enjoy an exceptional view of Cocody from the Toit d'Abidjan, one of the establishment's four restaurants. Chef Jérôme Cartailler puts his own spin on the authentic flavours of French gastronomy to provide you with a unique dining experience.
