The Castillo Rojo: a small, red 1920s Baroque castle

Discover one of the emblematic places of Santiago in a lively area of bars, concert venues, and theatres.

On the whim of a Russian billionaire, the ‘castle' was once the fount of a bohemian community, frequented by artists and philosophers.

In 2013, two renowned young Chilean architects completely redesigned the spaces. An alliance of modernity and elegance has restored all the brilliance to this aristocratic setting, which has preserved its identity and historical references. In a chic vintage atmosphere, furniture, mouldings, and original fireplaces contribute to the authenticity of the 19 rooms. All are different and all offer spectacular views of the snow-capped Andes or the Plaza Mori. The top floor houses a bright suite with a nice sitting area and a private roof terrace, while the gardens offer a green parenthesis between buildings.

For dining at the hotel, the Cabildo with its Chilean menu, or the Pétanque, a French brasserie, are both excellent choices.
