The first housewares shop in Florence, open since 1896, houses under its giant glass roof a 1,500-sqm concept restaurant on two floors, designed by architects Luca and Marco Baldini of the Q-Bic studio. Exposed metal structures, rough walls, period floor tiles-the industrial decor is softened by a few contemporary design elements and the lovely wooden tables and chairs.
This hybrid location brings everything together: locals come and eat something on the fly, or have a drink with friends, gather and party until midnight, or even shop! You can buy the Karman light fixtures that illuminate the white ceramic dishes in which the food is served, along with perfumes, flowers, and rare plants. The food is listed as 'hot and cold', 'soft-crunchy' or 'sweet and sour'. The perfect place for lunch-at two in the morning!
